PRE-RACE RELAXATION CLASSES ● ● ●
Anxiety and stress can affect your sleep and mental preparation.  Pre-race relaxation focuses on breathing, chest opening, and calming the nervous system to achieve a race-ready attitude.
RESTORATION AND RECOVERY CLASSES ● ● ●
 As yoga is complementary to training, it can also serve as a counterbalance to all your hard work.  We'll work on restorative poses to help replenish and relax your muscles and nervous system and discuss how mental recovery can be as essential as physical rest.

YOGA PERIODIZATION ● ● ●
Building different styles of yoga practices and postures into an athlete's periodization training schedule to optimize the effects of the practice.

RESTORATIVE FLOW YOGA
WHEN:  Tuesdays, 6 weeks
            7:30pm- 8:45pm
            June 9th- July 14th

WHERE:  Ferncrest Yoga Center

COST:  $15 per class

RESTORATIVE YOGA
WHEN:  Mondays, Summer 2009
            7:30pm- 8:45pm

COST:  $13 per class

This calming, therapeutic class is centered around "active
relaxation".  By supporting the body with props, we alternately stimulate
and relax the body to move toward balance. Some poses have an overall
benefit. Others target an individual part, such as the hips or heart. All
create specific physiological responses which are beneficial to health and
can reduce the effects of stress-related disease. Restorative yoga
postures are performed with the intention of relaxation and rejuvenation
